Компания Innosilicon решила провести апргейд первых майнеров серии A10, работающих на алгоритме Ethash, по которому добывается криптовалюта Ethereum и ее форки. Оборудование ограничено размером памяти видеокарт 4G, которой не хватает по причине увеличения размеров файла DAG.
Специфика сборки ASIC-майнеров не позволяет только расширить память, потребуется полная замены чипа или владелец устройства потеряет возможность добывать ETH, ETC и другие Ethash-криптовалюты.

The Innosilicon company decided to upgrade the first A10 series miners working on the Ethash algorithm, which produces the Ethereum cryptocurrency and its forks. Hardware is limited by the memory size of 4G video cards, which is not enough due to the increase in DAG file sizes.
The specificity of assembling ASIC miners does not allow only expanding the memory, a complete replacement of the chip will be required, or the owner of the device will lose the ability to mine ETH, ETC and other Ethash cryptocurrencies.
The company expects that the owners of the first A10 series, who survived the crypto winter of 2018, mining ETH at a cost of $ 100, will be interested in the upgrade, given the 4-fold increase in the current exchange rate and the abnormal profitability from commission fees.
In times of high network congestion, transaction fees were 4 times the reward for a mined block. The situation can be changed by the release of Ethereum 2.0, the zero phase of which will appear in 2020. However, the real rejection of PoW will only happen in the first phase over the next year.
